Reviewing Files That Fail to Retrieve

When the WD SmartWare™ software cannot successfully retrieve all the desired files from the backup volume, the files that could not be retrieved are displayed for your review. Files that could not be retrieved are displayed in the following way:

• Name. File name (if the file name is extremely long, use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the window to scroll to display additional information about the file.
• Size. File size.
• Date. The date of the last successful retrieval
• Reason: The reason the file was not successfully retrieved, for example, if the file is open on your computer during retrieval, it cannot be successfully retrieved.

As you review the files that were not retrieved, you can use the horizontal scroll bar to view more information, or resize the columns to change the width of the column.

To resize the file heading columns:

Position the pointer on the vertical line between the column headings and drag to either the right or left to extend or shorten the column width.
