Stopping File Retrieval

When you start the Retrieve process, the WD SmartWare™ software starts to copy files from your backup drive to your retrieve destination (usually your computer). If you stop a retrieve operation before it is complete, the retrieved copies of the file remain on your destination drive.

The Cancel retrieve confirmation prompt reminds you that if you cancel a retrieve operation before completion, the WD SmartWare will not remove all the retrieve files already copied to your computer.

To continue, do one of the following:

• Continue Retrieving to disregard your cancelation request and resume the retrieve operation
• Cancel Retrieving to cancel the request and stop the retrieve operation
