Choosing a Retrieve Folder
A default retrieve folder is established in the WD SmartWare™ software to ensure that files retrieved to this folder are eliminated from future backups. You can accept the default retrieve folder setting, browse to choose another folder, or create a new retrieve destination folder depending on your preferences.
Note: If you select a different retrieve destination folder or create a new destination folder, the content in any previous retrieve folder will be included in future backups, and will consume disk space.
To select a different retrieve folder:
Important: Be sure to click Apply to confirm your change. If you do not click Apply, the previous retrieve destination folder is used.
