Updating the Drive Settings Software

If you install only the WD SmartWare™ Drive Settings software, and later want include the backup and retrieve functions, you can update to the full WD SmartWare product from the Settings tab.

To update your software to the full WD SmartWare application:

1. From the Settings tab, click Preferences.
2. Click Enabling Backup and Retrieve features.
3. Click Enable Backup Now to update the Drive Settings software to the full WD SmartWare application.
