Unlocking Your Drive

You have created a password to protect the files on your drive from access by others, and the WD SmartWare™ software has locked the drive.

To continue:

  1. If you have forgotten or are not sure of your password, and you specified a password hint when you created the password, click Password hint to see the hint.
  2. Type your password in the Password box.
  3. Click Unlock.

If the password that you typed is not correct, the WD SmartWare software clears the Password box and displays an Invalid password prompt.

  1. Check your password and repeat steps 2 and 3.
